My campaigns can involve many people and organisations, so its crucial that everyone involved 'sings from the same hymn sheet'.
They must have accurate and up-to-date information constantly at their fingertips, and their managers need a 360° view of activities, to identify and address issues quickly, and monitor resource and budget utilisation against plan.
Customised POS
It is becoming increasingly important for our marketing to target specific segments of our customer base. In the case of POS, individual outlets need to be able to customise material to meet local situations and competitive promotions.
Of course, there also needs to be central control, to co-ordinate any local marketing with strategic plans, and also to ensure that any customisation doesn’t go ‘off brand’.
Consistent Supplies
It's my job to ensure that POS and other marketing collateral is designed, approved, produced and distributed in time for the start of campaigns, and to maintain a consistent supply throughout the life of the product.
Our sales outlets are best placed to know when supplies are running low, so a 24x7 online ordering capability is important. Even then, replenishment is sometimes needed at short notice and/or for non-stocked collateral, so a fast 'print-on-demand' capability is important too.
